The Employ Me Project Facilitated by Brain Injury Association ofTasmania (BIAT)

PRESENTERS: BIAT’S EXECUTIVE OFFICER DEBORAH BYRNE AND EMPLOY
ME PROJECT’S PROGRAM MANAGER BILL FULTON

Together, Deb and Bill will discuss the opportunity for attendees at this PD Session to adopt Employ Me in their work with vocational rehabilitation for people with brain injury.

The Employ Me Project provides a 10 step methodology and package of codesigned resources for supporting adults with acquired brain injury to identify and communicate their strengths, needs and employment goals. It culminates in the production of a professional “video resume” which not only highlights the participant’s abilities, but also provides a way for a person to disclose/communicate what they want an employer/workplace to know about them, their brain injury, the impacts of their brain injury and any accommodations they may require in the workplace.
