Shaned Gaffney is a Senior Work Health, Safety and Wellbeing Advisor with WorkSafe Tasmania and holds degrees in Exercise Physiology, Medical Science, and Work Health and Safety. She has over 30 years of experience, both within government service and as a private practitioner and her roles have include Health and Wellbeing Officer Communities Tas, Health and Wellbeing Program Manager DPFEM, Rehabilitation Provider, Clinical Exercise Physiologist, Ergonomic and Manual Handling Training assessor and Health Coach. Shaned’s focus is on providing preventative and proactive services to enable people to achieve optimum mental and physical health to enable them to thrive and lead healthy, productive,
connected, safe and purposeful lives. She is also the founder and president of Disabled Surfers Association of Tasmania. – a group of volunteers who organise events to provide people with a disability the opportunity to participate in a safe and fun open water surfing experience.
