TAVRP Inc has six levels of membership:

  • Life Members
  • Fellows
  • Members
  • Provisional Members
  • Associate Member
  • Student Member

Membership of TAVRP Inc is open to individuals  at a level appropriate to their qualifications and experience. For example….

  • Involved in providing Occupational Rehabilitation services within Tasmania at the time of application to the Association and who are eligible for membership of their relevant professional associations (provisional members/ members/ fellows)
  • Who are working as Return to Work Co-ordinators/ Injury Management Coordinators/ Rehabilitation Case Managers (associates)
  • Interested in the Occupational Rehabilitation industry (associates)
  • A person undertaking a course of Tertiary study which is integral to the field of Occupational Rehabilitation (Student)

join us

  • A person to whom the Association has conferred Life Membership based upon that person having given outstanding service to the Association
  • That person has all the rights of a Full Member and is exempt from paying annual membership subscriptions
  • Membership at this level is by invitation of the Committee
  • Professional, tertiary qualification in a health related field, which has an integral involvement in Vocational Rehabilitation. Examples of such fields are: Occupational Therapy, Audiology, Physiotherapy, Medicine, Psychology, Nursing, Social Work, Rehabilitation Counselling, Exercise Physiology.
  • Minimum experience of two (2) years full time, or equivalent practice, in that field of qualification.
  • Proven experience for a minimum of five (5) years’ full time, or equivalent, in managing the Occupational Rehabilitation process. Such a process must focus on the integration of, and liaison with all parties involved in treating, rehabilitating and returning the worker to optimum health and employment status.
  • Academic contributions to Occupational Rehabilitation such as recognized scientific presentations, papers, publications, or similar.
  • Is eligible for membership of his/her professional association.
  • Membership at this level is by invitation of the Committee, and reflects outstanding contributions by the Member to the Association during the years that they have been a member.
  • Professional tertiary qualifications in a health related field, which has an integral involvement in Vocational Rehabilitation. Examples of such fields are Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Audiology, Medicine, Psychology, Nursing, Social Work, Rehabilitation Counselling, Exercise Physiology.
  •  Proven experience for a minimum of two (2) years’ full time, or equivalent, in managing the Occupational Rehabilitation process. Such a process must focus on the integration of, and liaison with, all parties involved in treating, rehabilitating and returning the worker to optimum health and employment status.
  • Is eligible for membership of his/her professional association.
  • Professional tertiary qualifications in a health related field, which has an integral involvement in Vocational Rehabilitation.  Examples of such fields are Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Audiology, Medicine, Psychology, Nursing, Social Work, Rehabilitation Counselling, Exercise Physiology; and
  • Less than two (2) years full time, or equivalent, proven experience in managing the Occupational Rehabilitation process.  Such a process must focus on the integration of, and liaison with, all parties involved in treating, rehabilitating and returning the worker to optimum health and employment status; and
  • Is eligible for membership of his/her professional association.
  • Work in a role which involves managing the Occupational Rehabilitation process by coordinating a multiple of disciplines in order to achieve Vocational Rehabilitation objectives; or
  • Professional interest in the field of Occupational Rehabilitation

A person undertaking a course of Tertiary study which is integral to the field of Occupational Rehabilitation
Annual proof of Tertiary enrolment is required
A Student Member does not have any voting  under these Rules but is entitled to participate fully in all the activities of the Association
